We teach Hajime Kinoko's Ichinawa-kai curriculum here in Brisbane - being one of the two people outside of Japan certified to teach his unique and visually stunning style of Shibari.

We aim our education of both the rigger and the model.

We are available to provide these teachings in workshops local, interstate and overseas. Please contact us if you wish to plan an event in your area

Private tuition, and private shibari sessions are also available.

Please feel free to contact us regarding rope classes and private tuition. We are also available for rope performances and photoshoots and we are happy to create something to suit your needs

Bio

Jake

My rope journey started pre 2010 after attending a local peer rope class. Since then, my interest in ropes has been focused on learning as much as I can from as many sources as possible. In the years since my first introduction to ropes I have been blessed to have studied under renowned masters such as Nawashi Kanna, and Kazami Ranki. I have also been lucky enough to attend workshops and private lessons by the incredible Pedro Cordas.

In early 2016 I began serious study via Kazami-ryu run by MissEvilGen, which I graduated to the highest level. It was through these classes that I really developed my passion for the finer details of Shibari.

2017 was spent developing my rope skills and my love for teaching. In January 2018 I travelled to Tokyo to immerse myself within the Japanese rope scene, furthering my studies with Kazami Ranki and Hajime Kinoko while there.

It was in this time spent with Kinoko that I was honoured to have come into a position to not only study further with him but to also be formally certified to teach his unique style. Since then I have travelled regularly to Tokyo to further study with Kinoko and assist with his Ichinawa classes and other rope events.

Laced

Laced fell in love with Shibari in 2015 but started seriously modelling in 2016. Since then she has been a class, workshop and performance model. You will also find her rigging but predominately she is a bunny at heart. With a serious love for workshop settings and exploring safe and active movement within Shibari you will pretty much be guaranteed to hear her go on and on about active modelling, conditioning and ground based exercises/stretches that apply to whatever tie is being taught.

Laced is also an aerial instructor (predominantly silks) so safe body movement within rope and risk management for models is super high on her most important list. She loves to bring her aerial knowledge into the world of Shibari to empower models with information to use throughout their rope journey.

"I have issued a teacher certificate to the rigger Jake from Brisbane of Australia.
It came to this point where Jake has taken many hours for my teacher workshops and learned deeply about my style of Shibari. This is the very first
teacher license I have issued.
If you are interested in my style of Shibari and would like to learn around the are near Brisbane, take a lesson from Jake!"  - Hajime Kinoko FB post
