This Beginner level class is a follow on from the Introduction to Shibari Course, if you have completed this then please go ahead a book your spot.
It has prerequisites, if you have not done our intro but think you meet these prerequistes then please feel free to check with us before booking.
The beginners level is the introduction to Kinoko's curriculum.
Learning Shibari takes time and practice. Each step of this class is designed to improve your rope skills and techniques. These classes will give you a solid foundation of skills and knowledge to safely work towards progressing to the next level of rope practice.
We hope you will leave each lesson inspired to practice and continue celebrating even the small steps made in your rope journey.
There are level requirements to work through and pass in all the different stages of this Kinoko’s Ichinawa curriculum. If you have never touched rope before or you are already an advanced rigger in other styles while participating in this school you will need to demonstrate and take part in the entire journey, including a demonstration of a perfect Kinoko three rope TK before progressing to suspensions.
This will be checked in class in Australia the same way it is checked at the Tokyo Ichinawa Kai run by Kinoko himself! No exceptions!
The beauty of Kinoko's style of Shibari is the attention to the finer details. The journey is in perfecting and learning these skills.
